Dave Mariano, Guitar & Vocals
Back when I was a year old, my mom was cleaning up around the house and cranked the volume when It’s Still Rock and Roll To Me by Billy Joel came on. I belted the best vocal stylings my little year-old vocal chords could handle and bounced to the beat like a rubber ball. I was hooked. I sang in school from age five and picked up the guitar for the first time when I was 12 (I tried the saxophone for a few years in there too, but that really wasn’t my thing).
I found some other interests in college and post-college for work, but music was always inside me. I got serious again around 2004 and got involved in several bands playing guitar and singing lead vocals. I enjoy performance and am always trying to be a better guitar player and vocalist.
I have diverse musical interests (see below) and am working on some of my own songs. I’m married to my best friend, Heather (she’s very talented, check out her family photography), and we currently live in West Park. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family, staying in shape, summer BBQs, ice cream (any food, really), and learning about how to be a better leader.
Bands I Like / Musical Influences
Kings of Leon, Needtobreathe, Mat Kearney, Keith Urban, Adele, Simon & Garfunkel, Ray Lamontagne, John Mayer, Dave Matthews, The Beatles, Michael Jackson, James Taylor, and of course, Billy Joel.
