Custom guitar lessons for beginners and intermediate players

Guitar lessons with InTune Studios are unlike anything else you’ll find out there. Each of us has been a musician for more than 20 years and has taught hundreds of people how to play guitar. We won’t just teach you good technique, we’ll also give you the confidence and knowledge to call yourself a musician (if you don’t already). You don’t have to be on the radio to earn that title!

When you take guitar lessons with us you’ll notice that we don’t start from a prescribed curriculum or even a book you can find in a guitar shop. We’ll begin with understanding your musical tastes and abilities. Then we’ll start building your skills by breaking apart songs that you love. We emphasize proper, safe technique so you can enjoy playing guitar for the rest of your life:

  • Hold the guitar and pick properly as the foundation for playing safely, consistently and smoothly
  • Fret notes and chords efficiently so you can play all your favorite songs
  • Control your strumming/picking hand so your rhythm is steady
  • Electric guitar vs. acoustic guitar technique
  • Riffs, arpeggios and solos
  • Effects pedals
  • Role of guitar in various scenarios (singer-songwriter, large band, small band)
  • Rock, country, folk, blues, reggae

We want you to be able to play your music. For some that will take weeks, others it will require years. Either way, we want to be there for you to make sure you have a solid foundation.

With guitar lessons from InTune Studios you get:

Studio rates and payment policy

We give most of our private guitar lessons Monday through Friday from 11am-7pm, and a limited number on Saturday.

Private guitar lessons cost $50 for 1 hour lessons or $30 for 1/2 hour lessons. We recommend one hour lessons once a week for all of our students age 12 and older.

Lessons are paid for by the month on the last lesson of the prior month (be sure to review our friendly cancellation policy below the form).

We give most of our lessons from one of our two home studios, but will make a limited number of house calls.

Cancellation policy

Lessons cancelled within 24 hours must be paid for and cannot be rescheduled unless due to illness or emergency.

Lessons cancelled with more than 24 hours notice can be rescheduled to a time different than the regularly scheduled lesson, and within two weeks of the cancelled lesson.

We are flexible and understanding so if you need a specific arrangement we’ll do our best to make it happen.
